THIS FUNDRAISER

Over 100 artists from Los Angeles and across the country have donated works to be sold with 100% of proceeds going to Stacey Abrams's Fair Fight, which is dedicated to protecting the right to vote and countering anti-voter suppression efforts. Artists include: Nina Katchadourian, Shepard Fairey, Manuel Ocampo, Robbie Conal, Alison Elizabeth Taylor, and Sandow Birk. Buy now and spread the word to raise funds to protect free and fair voting.

100% of the proceeds goes to Fair Fight. To make sure fully 100% of the sales is going to Fair Fight, Track 16 Gallery will be covering the credit card merchant fees on all the sales. For example, if someone buys an artwork for $1,000, Track 16 will give the full $1,000 to Fair Fight and the gallery will cover the credit card fees (for this example about $30).

ACTION ORIGINS

Going back to January 2020 (what feels like a million years ago), during Kathleen Henderson’s exhibition at Track 16 one wall was an installation of small drawings sold to raise money for voter registration efforts in Navajo Nation. This collaboration inspired Track 16 to work with other artists in support of a variety of charities throughout the COVID-19 crisis. Over late summer Henderson kept bugging gallery director Sean Meredith saying, “We have to do more!” With COVID-19 and exhibition schedules turned upside down Meredith had trouble wrapping his head around finding the bandwidth to do more. But, finally the two found a path to take and grabbed rounded up some collaborators to turn to the critical issue of the right to vote. As the infamous guerrilla artist Robbie Conal – whose work is included in the sale – likes to say, “Apply what you do best to what you care about most.”
